You see sometimes you need to make things super clear. Before you know it, people could interpret what i will say as I support the findings of this report. Now that this is out of the way.
Is the UK good in some aspects: Yes. Should it pat itself on the back? No. I hope that whichever country is actually the best model never get complacent and says things like this. Can I draw your attention to the terms “compulsory education”. Why are you comparing education only until age 18? This seems like a rather convenient cut off! and ok, ok, ok, let assume this is true. Regardless of the color of their skin they are all doing equally well. How do you explain that Oxford and Cambridge are so full of white students? You can not tell us that everyone is doing equally well, but your top universities are full of white people!
“This success in education has “transformed British society over the last 50 years into one offering far greater opportunities for all”
Even North Korea has “transformed” over the last 50 years. This does not mean anything. And what are far greater opportunities if they are not converter because of systemic racism, that you pretend do not exist!

No you dumb a$$, we are not haunted by historic racism, we are constantly experiencing micro-aggressions by current racism. Would you tell a soldier suffering from PTSD that (s)he is haunted? I hope not! Being haunted make it sounds like we are seeing ghost from our own imagination! And i promise, we are not putting up fictional barriers to success. Systemic racism has put these barriers there a long time ago, and pretends they do not exist by any means necessary rather than removing them!
